Monopaulize Challenge: Day 32
In yesterday’s post, I discussed how I wasn’t feeling all that disappointed about not reaching my initial goals. After all, it’s my first time doing such a thing and it’s normal to underestimate the amount of work required to launch 2 sites.
In today’s short update, I’ll briefly discuss what I did today to move me one step closer towards launching these two sites. I got up at about 9:30 AM and worked till about 2 PM before I took a lunch break. Then, I worked from 3 PM till 7:30 PM. To sum it all, I spent 9 hours working just one niche site 1.
What did I do? I managed to set up the website the way I envisioned it to be, found lots of royalty free images for the site and proofread all of the articles I had written for this site. While proofreading, I ended up highlighting key points and changing the font colors of some sections which makes it more appealing to the reader. Another thing I did was to install and activate about 10 plugins for the site. Some of these are social media plugins, while others enhance appearance and SEO performance. Took me awhile to figure out how to work out some plugins, and while I still don’t know the functionality for some of them very well, I’m happy to announce that I have launched my first niche site!
In this website, there’s one uber long post with an infographic I made which I am hoping will get viral. As such, I added a Pinterest widget just for this post as of now. I’ve seen a lot of people posting about how much traffic Pinterest brings and I wanted to make sure my sites grow in that direction.
I’m happy to finally being able to put something out there. The site still needs a little bit of work, but it’ll do for now. I’ll do some touch up work tomorrow morning and after that, it’s on to the second niche site.
